In this case, continue on the water until the landing point for the next stage. There, you will pack up your packrafts before setting off on foot towards Souzay-Champigny.

You will then discover the famous troglodyte dwellings: a fascinating underground world carved into limestone rock. Over time, these galleries have been used as homes, wine cellars, and artisan workshops—an iconic part of the Loire Valley’s heritage.

This option allows you to enjoy part of the hike (especially the section around Souzay), with beautiful views over the vineyards, but over a shorter and more accessible distance.
