Description

This morning, pick up your adventure right where you left off: on the water, paddle in hand, heading towards the small islets visible on your left. Glide peacefully along the island until you reach the Glénac marshes, a true haven of nature. Keep your eyes open—herons, dragonflies, reeds, and water lilies create a wild and soothing landscape.

Along the way, you will pass the Maclaie lock, which marks the junction between the Oust and the Nantes–Brest Canal—a lovely landmark on your route. You will then enter the Glénac marshes. Before continuing along the Oust, take some time to observe this remarkable natural environment. Stay alert: several storks live in the area, with their nests and sometimes their young. With a bit of attention, you should be able to spot them easily. Take time to observe them quietly, remaining discreet so as not to disturb this fragile ecosystem and its wildlife.

Then continue your journey along the Oust, which remains largely unspoiled. The river winds through raw, natural surroundings, between wooded banks and silent meanders—a moment of complete connection with nature.

After a few kilometers, keep an eye on your right: a landing spot awaits you. It will then be time to deflate your packraft and pack it back into your backpack for the next part of your adventure.

A beautiful morning between water and marshlands—the perfect way to start your day! 🌿🚣‍♂️
