Stage 1: Hike to the Rhône

From Cressin-Rochefort, near the Écoinçons bar-restaurant, the adventure begins gently.

A short walk of about fifteen minutes will take you to the launch point. The path is easy, accessible to الجميع, and simply follows the ViaRhôna.

You will be accompanied by Myriam, who will use this time to introduce you to the environment you are about to explore: wildlife, plant life, and how the Rhône’s backwaters (lônes) function. A first immersion to help you better understand and appreciate the surroundings.

At the end of this walk, you will reach the wild Moiroud backwaters, a preserved area where the next part of your adventure truly begins… on the water.

On site, Myriam will assist you with launching: preparing and inflating your packraft, getting familiar with the equipment, and giving you the instructions you need to continue your journey independently. She may also share additional insights and observations to further enrich your experience.
