Chanaz Oil Mill is one of the village’s emblematic sites and a living example of local craftsmanship. This traditional mill continues to produce artisanal oils, mainly from walnuts and hazelnuts, using methods close to those used in the past. Located near the Canal de Savières, it highlights the historical role of water as a source of energy and work in Chanaz. Still in operation today, the mill can be visited and explains the different stages of oil production, from pressing to bottling. A simple and interesting stop to discover an authentic part of the region’s artisanal heritage.
